Akins Ford Live-Edge Conference Table

A commercial live-edge conference table Dave designed and built for Akins Ford in Winder, Georgia — anchoring an executive boardroom with integrated wiring through a hollowed leg base.
Boardroom presence, maker-built
Among Dave's commercial projects is a live-edge conference table designed and built for Akins Ford in Winder, Georgia — widely known as a top Ford dealer. The piece anchors an executive conference room with the same one-off promise residential clients get: imagination turned into a finished table only that client has.
The build path matches every custom job from the Statham wood gallery: choose the material with the maker, lock the design, and build a piece that cannot be ordered off a shelf.
Wiring hidden inside the base
Dave hollowed the leg base so electrical and data could run through the structure — wiring stays hidden inside the base instead of draping across the floor or tabletop. Circular cutouts and a custom stretcher finish the base as a designed element, not an afterthought.
That commercial detail is documented in press photography from the install: boardroom hero shot, base wiring install, and stretcher/base craft close-ups.
Solid live-edge, no epoxy river
This boardroom table is solid live-edge wood with no resin river. When a boardroom calls for an epoxy conference table or a resin river table instead, Dave builds those too; both styles are quoted from the slab and seating plan.
