McDonough, Henry County and the back-road route

McDonough is the Henry County seat, south of Atlanta where I-75 meets GA 20 and GA 155. The courthouse square is the center of town and hosts the Geranium Festival each spring. Hampton, home of Atlanta Motor Speedway, is just to the southwest, and Locust Grove and Stockbridge are close by. Much of the housing is newer subdivisions built as Henry County grew, with open kitchens and family rooms that take a long table well. The route from our shop avoids downtown Atlanta: south on GA 11 through Monroe, west on GA 138 to Conyers, then GA 20 south into McDonough, about 56 miles.

River tables, epoxy tables and live-edge tables for McDonough

There are three main styles to choose from. In a river table, two boards are set with their live edges facing each other and the gap between them is filled with a pour of epoxy. A resin table starts from a single slab and lets the epoxy fill its cracks and knots, or sets a burl in a colored pour. Both get called an epoxy table. If you would rather see only wood, a live-edge top with no resin is the third option.

The same choices apply to a long dining table, a coffee table or a boardroom top. You can visit the Statham gallery to see the slabs, or work from photos if the trip from McDonough doesn't suit you. We quote delivery for each order and quote installation separately.
