Griffin, Spalding County and the UGA Griffin campus

Griffin is the Spalding County seat, about 40 miles south of Atlanta on US 19/41. It is the birthplace of John Henry 'Doc' Holliday, and the University of Georgia's Griffin campus carries on the agricultural research station that has been here since the 1880s. Downtown has a historic district of brick commercial buildings, with older homes on the surrounding streets. The route from our shop stays off the downtown Atlanta interstates: south on GA 11 through Monroe, west on GA 138 to Conyers, GA 20 through McDonough, then GA 155 into Griffin, about 74 miles. Barnesville, Hampton and Zebulon are nearby.

River tables, epoxy tables and live-edge tables for Griffin

Start with how much resin you want to see. A river table puts it front and center, with an epoxy pour between two live-edge boards that can be clear, colored or black. A resin table keeps it subtle: epoxy fills and stabilizes the cracks and knots of a single slab. People say epoxy table for both. A live-edge table leaves the wood as it grew, natural edge and all.

The same choices apply to a long dining table, a coffee table or a boardroom top. You can visit the Statham gallery to see the slabs, or work from photos if the trip from Griffin doesn't suit you. We quote delivery for each order and quote installation separately.
