Dalton and northwest Georgia, 132 miles up I-75
Dalton is the Whitfield County seat in the northwest corner of the state, about 30 miles south of Chattanooga on I-75. It is known as the Carpet Capital of the World for the carpet and flooring mills in and around the city. Rocky Face Ridge rises on the west side of town, and the Chattahoochee National Forest and the Cohutta Wilderness are off to the east. At about 132 miles, Dalton is one of the longer trips on our Georgia list: GA 316 and I-85 to I-285, then I-75 north the rest of the way. Tunnel Hill, Chatsworth and Calhoun are the nearby towns, and a remote quote from photos and measurements works well at this distance.
River tables, epoxy tables and live-edge tables for Dalton
Start with how much resin you want to see. A river table puts it front and center, with an epoxy pour between two live-edge boards that can be clear, colored or black. A resin table keeps it subtle: epoxy fills and stabilizes the cracks and knots of a single slab. People say epoxy table for both. A live-edge table leaves the wood as it grew, natural edge and all.
The same choices apply to a long dining table, a coffee table or a boardroom top. You can visit the Statham gallery to see the slabs, or work from photos if the trip from Dalton doesn't suit you. We quote delivery for each order and quote installation separately.
