Acworth, the Lake City

Acworth, in northwest Cobb County, calls itself the Lake City: Lake Acworth sits right beside downtown, and the much larger Lake Allatoona wraps around the north side, with Red Top Mountain State Park across the water. The downtown grew up along the railroad and keeps its older storefronts. Lake homes with lower-level living areas and newer subdivisions make up much of the housing, and either can take a long dining table or a kitchen island. From Statham it is about 75 miles: GA 316 and I-85 to I-285, then I-75 north to the Acworth exits. Kennesaw, Cartersville and Dallas are the nearby towns.

Choosing a river table, resin table or live-edge top in Acworth

The names overlap, so here is how we use them. An epoxy table is any top where resin is part of the design. A river table is the best-known version: a channel of clear, tinted or black epoxy running between two live edges. A resin table uses the epoxy to fill natural cracks and voids in one slab, which keeps the grain front and center. A plain live-edge table has no resin at all.

Size, shape and base are yours to decide. Each table starts with a slab you pick at the wood gallery in Statham or from our Shop page, and a quote based on your measurements. Delivery is quoted per order; installation is quoted separately.
